Pawsome Reading Program - Therapy Dogs

Pawsome Reading Program On Saturday, February 21, 10-11:30am, therapy dogs will listen to children read stories to them. Each dog handler must have insurance for their dog, up-to-date veterinary vaccines, and certification hours. Pre-registration is required to schedule 15 minutes of your child reading 1:1 to the dog. Studies have shown that reading to animals improves reading fluency, accuracy, and comprehension, as well as increased motivation for reading and increased confidence.
