Week Calendar

Sign-ups are Monday, November 17 and begin at 8 a.m. and end when class is full. When you sign up you are automatically registered for the 3 week session. The session will begin the week of December 1 and end the week of December 15.

Our Preschool P.A.L.S class is for children 3-5 years and their parent/caregiver. Play and Learn Storytime focuses on developing early literacy and school readiness skills. Class size is limited and classes fill up quickly.

Story Sprouts is for babies/toddlers 0-36 months and their parent/caregiver. Join us for stories, songs, sign language, lap bounces and more! Class size is limited and fill up quickly!

Join us at the Library for Story Hour! This FREE program is facilitated by Library volunteers Kathy Hough. Story Hour will help your child develop a lifetime love of books, reading, and learning.

November is Novel Writing Month!

The Johnstown Writers Circle invites you to join us for Write-Ins this November at the Cambria County Library. Come write in community!

This play group is self-guided by the caregivers who come with their children to this group. It takes place on the second floor of the library.

Little Learners, Big Adventures!  Come join us for a magical journey through stories.  A special creative craft will follow the story.  Note: if school is cancelled, story time is cancelled.

This program is designed to tap into children's imaginations and help develop their fine motor skills as they create with different manipulatives. For ages 2 to 5 years old.

The friends of the Patton Library are holding another Lottery Board Drawing just in time for Thanksgiving! You could have a chance to win a $200 lottery ticket board. Tickets are now on sale at the library and are $5 a piece.

All are welcome from beginners to advance for the knitting class.  Limited supplies of yarn and needles are available, or you can bring your own project to work on and connect with other knitters.

Our club is a creative space for teens to learn, share, and grow together through knitting and crochet projects. Bring your current project or start something new. All skill levels welcome, supplies are provided.

Join the Youth Book Club! Held once a month at Portage Public Library. Pick up your copy of the book at the library. Light snacks are provided. 

Author and historian Joshua Penrod will take us on an exploration of Johnstown in his talk.  

Story Stitchers are starting new sessions! You will be making a slow stitch lap-size quilt. At the end of the year, you will contribute one panel toward a quilt to be sold to benefit the library.

At Silent Book Club®, friends, neighbors, and strangers gather in quiet camaraderie at the library to read together. All readers are welcome.

Join Chef Nan from Center from Population Health during our Afternoon STEAM program to learn how to make your own spaghetti sauce. We'll even use some of the tomatoes grown in our library garden! 

Join us for Level Up : Teen Game Night! It includes board & card games, even a couple recommended phone games, like Among Us!

Come join our Thanksgiving Storytime for ages 3-5 years old. Enjoy stories and a correlating activity. Registration is required.
